The Hopi Foundation

Our mission is outlined in our name "Lomasumi'nangwtukwsiwmani" and signifies a community process of furthering unity of aspiration which blossoms into full maturity over time. The Hopi Foundation has acted on this vision of self-sufficiency, self-reliance and local self-determination to engage in proactive participation toward our own destiny as a community. Locally, we refer to this practice as "itam naapyani", meaning to do the work ourselves.

Details
* Are you a first time donor to this organization?
* Do you want your donation to be anonymous?
No – I want the organization to know who the donation came from.
Partially – I wish only to receive a donation acknowledgement letter from the organization, but want no further communication or acknowledgement in annual reports.
Fully – I do not want the organization to know my name or contact me.

* Cover FeesBy selecting YES to cover the fees, your donation will be increased by 6.9% to help cover the fees (2.1% credit card processing fee and 4.8% for technology/security and program costs). This helps more money go directly to the nonprofit. If you elect to pay by e-check, your donation would still be increased by 6.9%, but the 2.1% that would normally go to the credit card processing company will actually go to the nonprofit instead. Because of technology limitations for 2017 Gives Day, we are unable to offer two options for covering fees, but we are hopeful this option will be available for 2018.

Will I receive a receipt for my donation?

Yes, you will be sent an electronic tax receipt with a list of each organization you gave to via the email address you provide.

Is there a fee on donations?

For donations processed by credit card, Arizona Gives has a combined 6.9% fee per donation. 4.8% of that fee is for technology/security and program costs, and the remaining 2.1% is for credit card processing. For donations processed by electronic check, the combined fee is 4.8% as there is no fee included for processing a credit card. There is also a separate 30 cent per donation fee paid by the nonprofit.

However, donors may elect to "OPT IN" to help cover fees during checkout in order to lessen the fees paid by the nonprofit. By selecting YES to cover the fees, a donor’s donation will be increased by 6.9% to help cover the fees (2.1% credit card processing fee and 4.8% for technology/security and program costs). This helps more money go directly to the nonprofit. If donors elect to pay by e-check, their donation would still be increased by 6.9%, but the 2.1% that would normally go to the credit card processing company will actually go to the nonprofit instead. Because of technology limitations for 2017 Gives Day, we are unable to offer two options for covering fees, but we are hopeful this option will be available for 2018.
