Family Involvement Center

Family Involvement Center (FIC) is a non-profit organization started by parents, for parents. Our staff are parents themselves who have raised or are raising children with special needs. We share what we have learned as parents in order to make the journey easier for other families. We help parents who are navigating child-serving systems, such as: Schools, the Department of Child Safety, Juvenile Justice, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, Behavioral and Physical Health Care, Foster and Kinship Care and more. Our services include parent-to-parent support in person or by telephone toll-free statewide, information and referral, support groups, parent education and training, parent and youth advocacy training and leadership positions and opportunities to connect with other parents/caregivers in order to build a support network.

Words cannot describe how overjoyed I am to have found FIC and how lost I would be without the wonderful staff there. I have 5 children with special needs from the ages of 9 to age 17 who all receive services. The staff there really care about their families being successful. If they don't have the answers they find them and we find ourselves wishing they could spend more time with us during our visits. Having 5 challenged children is hard. Without my wonderful Partner partner I would have giving up already but she's always there to lend an ear. Thank you for giving me hope and for saving my family.
