JESSICA'S STORY: IT'S MORE THAN A JOB ~ IT'S A CALLING

Jessica Christiansen has been a dedicated member of Family Involvement Center (FIC) since March 2018. Her journey began 8.5 years ago as a parent enrolled in the Parent Support Now (PSN) program, working closely with Parent Peer Support Provider Nadine during a dependency case. Nadine’s empathy, encouragement, and lived experience profoundly impacted Jessica’s recovery, inspiring her to give back to others facing similar challenges.

Following her successful reunification with her children and completion of the PSN program, Jessica was offered the opportunity to become a PPSP herself. Initially uncertain of her ability to contribute, she quickly discovered the passion and purpose that drive this work—helping parents make meaningful changes, build self-worth, and gain confidence both as parents and individuals.

Jessica’s dedication stems from deeply personal experience and a commitment to hope and positive change. She remains moved by every court hearing where a child returns home, viewing each success as proof that transformation is possible. She credits her career growth to the unwavering support of her director, colleagues, and the FIC community, who believed in her even before she believed in herself.
