The East Side Elves are a dedicated team of volunteers who provide support to homeless animals in need throughout Maricopa County.
Since 2017, we have provided over $500,000 of support to the Maricopa County East facility by providing:
1. Martingales/leashes for EVERY adopted dog leaving the facility to go to their new home. High quality edible enrichment, durable toys, hotdogs (for small treats to help volunteers and staff while taking dogs out of their kennels for one-one time), training /small treats to help keep the dogs engaged while out of their kennels.
2. Grants to rescues / community members for: Boarding, vet care, end of life support, food to help community members experiencing a temporary need in order to keep their animals fed and in their homes.
3. Providing vet tech scholarships to Mesa Community College in memory of a volunteer / supporter that tragically lost their life in 2017.
4. There are also times where we help community members that need temporary support to put food on their own tables to help ensure they and their families don't go hungry.
