Zuri's Circle

Zuri's Circle is committed to offering temporary assistance during unexpected hardships to individuals, families, and the homeless. We address essential needs by providing support through food boxes, hygiene bags, clothing, and furniture. Beyond immediate aid, our overarching goal is to foster empowerment for youth, teens, and adults. We achieve this through a dynamic blend of activities, comprehensive in-school and out-of-school programs, and engaging interactive camps.

Zuri's Circle has left a lasting impact through our Annual Feed the Community Event, a beacon of support for families in need. This comprehensive event offers a spectrum of services, including assistance with legal matters, insurance, eye exams, wellness checks, enriching programs, and a nourishing dinner, all complemented by food boxes to help sustain families. Notably, this event is entirely free and has positively impacted over 300 families annually.

In addition to our impactful community event, our gardening program stands out as a powerful initiative. Designed to inspire youth to cultivate and cook their own food, this program takes participants on a journey from seed to plate, emphasizing the importance of nutrition for overall well-being. Chef Bombay lends expertise to enhance this enriching experience.

Our Be Powerful Mentorship is another cornerstone of Zuri's Circle. This mentorship program is dedicated to instilling self-love in children. Through meaningful discussions, we address empowerment, tackle bullying, emphasize self-care, and explore the impact of excuses on success.

Since 2012, Zuri's Circle has been a steadfast supporter of the community, providing essential homeless support, adopting classrooms, organizing giving trees, facilitating after-school programs, participating in the "Reading with Israail" initiative, assisting schools, and collaborating with other remarkable organizations. Our commitment to making a positive difference continues to grow, impacting lives in multifaceted ways.

Over the years Zuri's Circle has been a great advocate in giving back to the community. Her non-profit organization provides to those who are less fortunate and can use a helping hand. Passing out care packages to the homeless and helping families in need of food boxes is some of what they provide. There biggest achievement has been running a Feed The Community Event for the past three years.

Every year Zuri's Circle do a Feed The Community Event at an elementary school for Thanksgivings. This event takes a lot of hard work, time, and dedication because she feeds between 300-400 people. Zuri's Circle understands the importance of helping others and they are very dedicated and passionate about doing so. -Amber McCullough-

I've been volunteering with Zuri's Circle for almost 4 years now. My first big event with them was their First Annual Feed the Community Event at the Cesar Chavez Community School. This past Thanksgiving was their 4th Feed the Community Event and it just keeps on growing! I have seen firsthand the great work that this non-profit group has done. Providing food boxes for those in need, clothing and shoes for families who have fallen on hard times, blessing bags for the homeless, backpacks and books for underprivileged schools, heading up programs and activities for at risk youth, this organization helps our community on so many levels.
