We Care for Animals

A nonprofit organization

We Care for Animals Mission is to humanely lower the population of Community Cats through Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return and adopt.

We Care for Animals started in April 2016, knowing Community Cats (Feral) that are brought into our shelter are deemed unsocial and unadoptable. Often they are at extremely high risk for euthanasia. With that in mind I decided to start a non-profit organization knowing there is a humane method called (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) . We Care for Animals uses humane education as the base of all TNVR program with training in trapping, caregiving, and colony management.

We continue to spay/neuter and vaccinate Community Cats, and are able to address medical issues within the colonies. We are evolving as we provide training on TNVR and have become a trap depot for the community so they may safely provide TNVR practices to their colonies.

We Care for Animals focuses on Community Cat populations rather than owned pets.

As of 2019 we have sterilized 823 Community Cats to date. Our partnership with PetSmart has given our organization the opportunity to adopt out socialized homeless cats and kittens, to date we have adopted out 96 cats and kittens.
We also partnered with Midwestern University from Glendale,AZ. to help us spay and neuter 60 Community Cats on a monthly bases, the mobile unit has been such a wonderful blessing to our community.

We teach TNR workshops before each spay and neuter event, the subjects range from safe and responsible trapping practices to colony health management.
