Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity

A nonprofit organization

"Shelter in place." Overnight our homes became so much more: offices, classrooms, movie theatre, "down home cooking" restaurant, church. Pandemic crisis brought into stark reality the crucial need for a safe and stable home. Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Our mission is more relevant than it has ever been before. Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity serves the entire Verde Valley, population of about 70,000.

Verde Valley Habitat for Humanity (VVHFH) has carried out a critical mission to build affordable homes and provide critical home repair for qualified low-income families. The Critical Home Repair Program (CHRP) provides services to homeowners that are no longer safe in their homes due to the need for repairs such as leaking roofs. CHRP also builds ADA compliant wheelchair ramps; and stairs with rails for the physically impaired.

The CHRP program serves a vast population of low-income elderly, veterans and under-served families with children.

Verde Valley Habitat's mission to bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope is most evident with CHRP. Volunteers in the community gather to repair our neighbor's homes; restoring their basic right to have a healthy and safe home.
