The 3000 Club

A nonprofit organization

One in four Children in America suffer from hunger! Help us get nutritional and healthy fruits and vegetables to needy, starving and malnourished children and their families.

The 3000 Club distributed a total of 1,624,288 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables valued at $5,278,937. Providing 1,353,573 meals to 82,214 at risk families and helped 243,643 hungry children. The direct clients are served by our Community Agents who distribute up to 60 pounds to families in need in their neighbor hoods. ************************************************************* The 3000 Club collaborates with a host site (Church, School or civic group) who provides between 10 and 15 volunteers and identifies people in the community who will come and select up to 60 lbs of produce that they will deliver to people they have identified who are in need.

The 3000 Club provided the following Medical Supplies to Organizacion Christiana De Beneficio Social Esperanza De Vida Children's Hospital (St. Lukes) which serves over 12,000 patients annually with services provided 24 hours every day: In-kind contributions: General Medical supplies. With a value of $31,552,609. *************************************************************These supplies help their Baby Rescue program where over 3,000 children on the brink of starvation are brought to the St. Lukes Hospital each year. These sick children are found in some of the most remote areas of Guatemala and are transported by burro, canoe and truck. Many stay at the St. Lukes Nutritional Center for weeks, others are abandoned by their parents and are given a home in the children's home, and some have dire needs that they must be sent to far away hospitals in an effort to save their lives.

Testimonials

I found the small notice about MOM last week in the Sunday Daily Star here in Tucson. I am so happy to find out about your program as I am a low income senior and the majority of my food budget goes for fresh veg. and fruits. I live in an apt complex with other low income seniors and was able pass on information about MOM and share my produce with serveral others here who are handicapped and can not go out. I want to be a MOM member, I signed a form giving my name and e-mail address. do I need to do anything else? I also would be able to help and some Tucson sites if needed. Again thank you for your in getting us fresh food.
