For more than 22 years, Northland Cares has been a lifeline for individuals and families in Yavapai County affected by HIV, STIs, and chronic hepatitis. Founded by parents who saw a gap in care, the organization was built on a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves compassionate, judgment-free healthcare. Today, Northland Cares provides medical services, case management, housing support, and prevention programs that empower people to live healthy, dignified lives.
Because of this care, over 95% of our clients living with HIV are undetectable, meaning the virus is not transmissible. Our team serves hundreds of individuals each year with wraparound services that include medical appointments, tele-health access, food and gas assistance, and behavioral health referrals. We operate a unique after-hours emergency PEP hotline, one of the only programs of its kind in the country, ensuring that someone potentially exposed to HIV can access life-saving medication when every hour matters. Through prevention programs, PrEP services, and rapid testing, we are actively working to stop new infections before they begin.
Northland Cares continues to grow to meet community needs, expanding clinic space, adding telemedicine technology, and launching a Mobile Health Unit to reach rural and underserved communities. Every dollar raised helps keep someone in care, prevents a new infection, or ensures a neighbor has access to safe, supportive healthcare close to home. This Arizona Gives Day, your support strengthens a mission rooted in dignity, prevention, and hope—driving healthcare forward and building a healthier future for all of Yavapai County.
