Trellis is dedicated to making stable homes and communities possible through educating, building and lending. For more than 50 years, Trellis has been committed to advancing equity in housing in Arizona by securing equal housing opportunities for all and helping underserved communities achieve generational wealth and the American dream through homeownership. Our Vision is an Arizona where everyone has a place to call home.

Trellis (previously NHS) has been serving our community for 51 years. We take a holistic approach to a systemic problem in access to housing, and we provide free 1:1 home ownership counseling, group classes on site and online, home loans, down payment assistance for those who qualify, foreclosure prevention services, and real estate services. We are also an affordable housing homebuilder that is building communities that are growing in scope and scale to meet the need for affordable housing for Maricopa County's underserved populations.

In our history, Trellis has educated and counseled 48,851 people, created 4,357 first-time homebuyers, and built 384 homes. Regardless of income, education or background, we help individuals and families across Arizona have a place to call home.

This AZ Gives Day, Trellis is aiming to raise $10,000 to strengthen our Homebuyer Education Center — a trusted resource that helps future homeowners build the knowledge, confidence, and stability they need to succeed.

For generations, owning a home has been a cornerstone of the American Dream. But navigating the homebuying process — and sustaining a home — can be complicated, intimidating, and overwhelming without the right support.

Our HUD-certified instructors guide individuals and families through credit repair, budgeting, debt management, and every step of what may be the largest purchase they will ever make. When community members follow our path to ownership, they gain clarity, avoid costly mistakes, and move toward long-term financial stability.

• $25 — Pays for one person to attend a financial literacy class.

• $50 — Pays for one person to complete the Homebuyer Education course.

• $100 — Supports a one-on-one counseling session with a HUD-certified counselor.
