Flowing Wells: A Legacy of Community Care

In 1995, neighbors officially founded the Flowing Wells Neighborhood Association and Community Coalition (FWNACC).  We support the entire 13sq mile area of Flowing Wells.  Our efforts have influenced and brought over $50,000,000 in infrastructure and programs for the Flowing Wells Area..

We are 100% volunteers.

What started as a small group of residents meeting to address basic needs—like installing streetlights, reducing street flooding, and closing drug houses—quickly evolved into a powerhouse for neighborhood revitalization. Their early success was so profound that in 2007, the Flowing Wells community was honored with the prestigious All-America City Award, from the National Civic League, recognizing the neighborhood's ability to solve local challenges through collaborative grassroots action.

Our Purpose: Building a Safer, Stronger Neighborhood

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, the FWNACC serves as the connective tissue between residents, local government, and social services. Our mission is to increase the safety, beauty, and quality of life for everyone within our boundaries.  We consider the Flowing Wells School District the Center of our community.

Over the last three decades, the Coalition has been instrumental in the development of vital community assets, including:

• Recreation & Culture: The creation of Flowing Wells Park, Curtis Neighborhood Park, and the state-of-the-art Flowing Wells Library.

• Health & Wellness: Bringing the Ellie Towne Community Center and local health/dental clinics to the heart of the neighborhood.

• Infrastructure: Championing the "Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Plan" to ensure our streets and public spaces are safe and modern.

• Social Support: Launching critical initiatives like the "A Plate Full of Care" program, which provides meals and social activities for our seniors.
