Every year, The Arboretum at Flagstaff fills thousands of visitors with the kind of wonder you only find in nature. From schoolchildren discovering their first wildflower to locals escaping into quiet trails, The Arb is where curiosity blooms and the beauty of the Colorado Plateau comes alive.

Nestled on 200 acres, this “secret garden” is an oasis tucked deep into the ponderosa pines - a living tapestry of native plants, formal gardens, wildlife habitat and miles of peaceful trails. You might spot a Steller's Jay resting on a branch, butterflies drifting between blooms, or mule deer quietly drinking from one of our ponds.

But The Arb is more than a beautiful landscape.

It’s also a hub for conservation, research, and hands-on learning dedicated to the unique environment of the Colorado Plateau. Through school field trips, summer camps, naturalist-led walks, community events, and guided programs, The Arb’s talented staff help the forest tell its stories, inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.

This Giving Tuesday, You Can Help The Arb Thrive

Your Giving Tuesday gift does more than sustain a beloved local treasure.

It nurtures a place that nurtures you - a place where future generations will learn, explore, and fall in love with the natural world.

Your support helps:

  • Care for and preserve 200 acres of habitat, trails, and native plant collections
  • Fuel environmental education for children and lifelong learners
  • Protect wildlife that call this secret garden home
  • Keep Flagstaff connected to its natural heritage
Together, we can keep Flagstaff's Secret Garden blooming for generations to come.
