The 100 Club of Arizona’s Fallen Families Program provides long‑term support to children and families who lose a firefighter or public safety officer in the line of duty.
Each year, Arizona tragically loses between 3-20 first responders while they are serving their communities, leaving families to navigate sudden grief and life‑changing loss. The 100 Club stands beside these survivors from the earliest days of tragedy through the years that follow, offering resources that promote healing, stability, and resilience.
The program supports families like those of Scottsdale Fire Captain Kory Yule, who passed away from in January 2024 from occupational cancer, and Scottsdale Police Detective Ryan So, who died in the line of duty in June 2024—ensuring they never walk alone.
In 2025, the 100 Club assisted 36 families who lost a parent or spouse in the line of duty, providing services that help prevent the long‑term negative impacts associated with Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
The Fallen Families Program includes three core areas: Survivors Camp, which gives children meaningful opportunities for joy, connection, and emotional relief; Education Assistance, which supports academic needs from preschool through graduate school; and Wellness Enhancement, which provides counseling, extracurricular activities, and sports participation to help build protective factors and support emotional well‑being.
Through these comprehensive services, the 100 Club helps families rebuild, stay connected to supportive communities, and find a path forward after devastating loss.
