The Butterfly Collaborative directs donations from the Women’s Cancer Screening Fund to provide life-saving cervical cancer screening and treatment for women in Malawi, Africa.
Why Malawi?
Malawi has the second-highest cervical cancer rate in the world—and the second-highest death rate. Women there die from cervical cancer at a rate of 51.5 per 100,000, compared with just 2.5 per 100,000 in the United States. In other words, women in Malawi are 20 times more likely to die from a disease that is highly preventable and treatable when detected early.
Cervical cancer is one of the few cancers that can be stopped before it becomes deadly through simple screening and immediate treatment. Yet too many women in Malawi lack access to these basic services.
Your gift can change that.
Even a small donation can save lives:
$20 provides HPV screening for one woman.
$100 enables early detection and immediate treatment—potentially saving a life.
Your support helps ensure that women who would otherwise have no access to screening or care receive the chance to live healthy, full lives. Every donation brings us closer to preventing needless deaths from a cancer we already know how to stop.
