More About Us

STARS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides day programs, on-site work centers, and community based employment training and opportunities for adults with disabilities, as well as a Transitions Program for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities, their parents, families and guardians.

STARS serves teens and adults with developmental disabilities. This broad category consists of school aged students 13 years of age through high school graduation for STARS' Transitions Program, and anyone 18 years old and older who has exited the school system for STARS' traditional day programs and vocational services. STARS additionally offers a summer camp for youth with developmental disabilities. There are very limited opportunities for young people with developmental disabilities to participate in school break and summer camp activities. STARS provides meaningful, impactful summer and break programming for youth 8 years to 18 years. STARS is a lifeline for families.

STARS serves Individuals who have a number of disabilities, including Down syndrome, Autism, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury and others. STARS' participants range from ages 8 to 80 years old.

STARS is a critical part of the community fabric providing meaningful opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.
