Phoenix Center for the Arts

A nonprofit organization

Phoenix Center for the Arts provides opportunities to participate in the visual and performing arts through quality classes, programming, and events.

Born in 1975 under the City of Phoenix Parks & Recreation Department's wing, the Phoenix Center for the Arts faced closure in 2011 due to budget cuts, but our community united and Phoenix Center for the Arts found new life under the Central Arts Alliance!

Now, as a nonprofit powerhouse, it's more than just a foundation for the arts-it's a thriving hub for creativity, serving our community's needs with passion and purpose. Join us in fueling this vibrant legacy of artistic excellence.

From the talented artists who teach, to our dedicated admin staff, resident organizations, enthusiastic volunteers, and more-the A-team (Arts Team) is all about creating an exceptional experience for everyone who steps through our doors.

We do this by following five key principles:

1. Artistry: We empower and promote creativity with our art classes. From painting to pottery, unleash your inner artist!

2. Access: We believe art should be accessible to all. Help us break down barriers and provide opportunities for everyone in our community.

3. Aspiration: Fuel the dreams of aspiring artists in our neighborhood. Your support can turn aspirations into achievements.

4. Amplifying voices: Let's amplify the voices of creativity! Your contribution fuels our mission to amplify the impact of art education, empowering individuals to express themselves.

5. Advocacy: Join the A-team in advocating for the transformative power of art education. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our community.
