Young Arts Arizona holds workshops in two juvenile detention centers: Phoenix and Mesa. A Young Arts teaching artist facilitates art making workshops for detention center staff. Staff then teaches detainees various methods of art making. This art is exhibited in 12 galleries in the juvenile court system in Phoenix and Tucson, as well as in the Foster Care Offices at the Arizona Supreme Court.

Young Arts collaborates with 66 schools in Maricopa, Gila, Pima, and Pinal counties. Within their existing curricula, art teachers have their students create art to a specific theme. YA exhibits this art in public galleries. The students often come to exhibit openings via field trips so they can see their art and be celebrated. Young Arts also collaborates with 5 school districts and 7 social agencies.

Young Arts exhibits the children's art year-round in over 40 buildings not designed as galleries and that are frequented daily by the community: Arizona State Capitol, Arizona Secretary of State, Maricopa County Juvenile Court Systems, Phoenix Children's Hospital, Phoenix Symphony Hall, and many more.
