Meet Gloria, a resilient mother whose journey reminds us why TMM exists.

Gloria’s childhood was marked by instability, addiction, and loss. By the age of 11, she had left home, searching for belonging but finding only chaos. Her teenage years and early adulthood were consumed by addiction and unhealthy relationships. At 26, she became a mother, trying to raise a child while trapped in abuse and substance use. Eventually, her choices led to prison—where, for the first time since childhood, she discovered stability, recovery, and hope.

Upon release, pregnant and with nowhere to go, Gloria felt hopeless—until she found TMM’s Family Journey Program. From her very first interview, she knew she had discovered a home.

Through Family Journey, Gloria rebuilt her life. She welcomed her daughter into a safe, supportive community and reunited with her son. She bought her first car, earned a promotion at work, and began shaping a brighter future for her family. Even after completing the program, she chose to remain in the TMM community because of the stability it offered.

Today, Gloria is thriving. She serves as a General Manager, overseeing 20 employees. She and her partner are raising their children in a loving, healthy home. Together they own three vehicles, live in a three-bedroom duplex, and recently celebrated six years of sobriety.

Gloria’s story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when families are given the stability and support they deserve. Because of Family Journey, her family is not only surviving—but thriving.
