Building a healthy Arizona with people who use drugs.

Sonoran Prevention Works is an Arizona-based nonprofit working to support people who use drugs in our state. While SPW only services the state of Arizona, it remains the largest distributor of community naloxone/Narcan in the United States. Since 2017, we have distributed over 961,000 doses of this lifesaving overdose-reversal drug and received over 27,000 overdose reversal reports.

Utilizing harm reduction and health equity frameworks, we make our impact using a variety of strategies, from statewide advocacy, prevention education, culture and systems changing trainings, street outreach to HIV and hepatitis C testing - we use our lived experience and genuine relationships with people who use drugsto make Arizona a safer and healthier place for everyone.
