Six Strings Acoustics brings live interactive musical programs into classrooms for students with special abilities.

Six Strings Acoustic's provides live musical concerts for Arizona students with special abilities in Maricopa Co. public schools. Our mission is to be a constant throughout the school year, allowing the students to enjoy live music on a weekly basis. In May 2024 we will be entering our 7th year. We have found that our students look forward to our weekly concerts as they request songs, dance and sing along.
Six Strings Acoustic's targets children between the ages of 5 and 18 who have single and multiple special abilities and are enrolled in Maricopa Co. public school Special Ed classes.
The American Music Therapy Association stated that music can be an integral component in helping a student with special abilities attain educational goals and help facilitate development in communication and sensorimotor skills.
Six Strings Acoustic's wants to continue to help and support Special Ed teachers by providing new creative and effective ways for them to incorporate music into their academic curriculum by giving students an opportunity of experiencing the joy that live music can bring to their lives.
