We create community by fostering lifelong learning and building connections, and open a door to the world through empowering information, inspiring ideas, and engaging experiences.

Sedona Public Library

Our services touch thousands of lives, from all walks of life, all year long, for free. We are a center for lifelong learning, cultural and civic activities, and a favorite place to meet and share ideas. Community partnership is crucial to keeping our resources and programs available, and free.

Your support makes it possible for us to provide programs and services to continue to meet the growing needs of the entire community, including our children, our under-served Spanish-speaking neighbors, our loyal patrons, and the many visitors who enjoy our services when in the larger Sedona region.

Thank you!

Testimonials

"I love Sedona Public Library because it's a combination of a museum and someone's house. It's inviting and comfortable here." Leanne Lee, Sedona Public Library Patron

 A Vietnam veteran, up against hard times and without transportation, believed if he could sell
his collection of valuable books he could afford a down payment on a new car. But he didn't
know how to do it. SPL helped, he sold the books as hoped, made a down payment on a
vehicle, and he was back on his feet in no time.

 A Hungarian woman, an avid reader and patron, felt isolated and dearly needed to read a book
in her native language. SPL found books for her via Interlibrary Loan, and at last she felt
connected to the country of her birth where she hadn't set foot since her childhood.

 A little boy logged a record number of reading minutes in our Summer Reading Program. He
explained he read so much because his family traveled to Phoenix four times a week to see his
hospitalized sister. Reading took his mind off the sad things going on in his family's life.

 An immigrant mother of three worked diligently with SPL staff to complete her citizenship
paperwork. Finally, she attended her naturalization ceremony, put her hand on her heart, and
took her Oath of Allegiance. She still glows with pride and thanks us each time she stops by.

 An elderly woman and artist, who lost her creative spirit due to illness, came in with her
daughter, who believed if her mom would sing again, she'd regain her creativity. They were
grateful for the Sweet Adeline sheet music SPL found so they could practice for an audition.
