At Saving Amy, we believe that breaking the cycle of homelessness requires more than just housing; it needs healing, stability, and empowerment. While government programs like Rapid Rehousing focus on securing housing quickly, they often overlook the internal challenges that lead to repeated cycles of homelessness. That’s where we come in.

With a 100% success rate, our holistic approach addresses the root causes of homelessness through mentorship, life skills training, education, and financial stability. Each family is paired with a Journey Partner Mentor who provides guidance, encouragement, and accountability.

Our Impact: Five Core Programs That Change Lives

🔹 Empowerment Through Therapy – Licensed trauma therapists counsel adults and children.

🔹 Kids Go – Year-round tutoring, mentorship, and a summer camp in partnership with Brophy College Preparatory and local high schools.

🔹 Rolling Forward – Reliable transportation through donated vehicles, Lyft credits, and Uber rides.

🔹 Rise Up – Rent subsidies, home furnishings, and assistance transitioning out of poverty-stricken neighborhoods.

🔹 THRIVE – Life skills training in budgeting, career development, nutrition, parenting, and meditation.

Chamika’s Story: A Testament to Transformation

Chamika’s journey is one of resilience and hope. Once a foster child who endured abuse and homelessness, she found herself at 17 raising five boys alone. After living in a shelter and moving into an empty apartment during the pandemic, she connected with Saving Amy.

Through Rise Up, her apartment became a home furnished, stocked with essentials, and filled with warmth. With financial assistance, she navigated job losses and illness. Her mentor provided the support she needed to rebuild her life.

Her children thrived in the Kids Go program, excelling academically and gaining invaluable mentorship. Inspired by THRIVE’s Aspire class, her son Avontay now dreams of higher education. Today, Chamika’s family has moved to a safer neighborhood, gained financial independence, and received a vehicle through Rolling Forward.
