Be a Voice for Birds in Northern Arizona
Northern Arizona Audubon Society (NAAS) has been the voice for birds since 1972. We protect birds and the places they need while connecting people to nature through science, education, and advocacy. What we do here matters far beyond Arizona.
Birds are declining at an alarming rate:
Nearly 3 billion birds have been lost globally since 1970
Over half of all U.S. bird species are in decline (2022 State of the Birds)
Nearly 50% of aridland bird habitats in the Western U.S. have been lost since 1968 due to drought, wildfire, and invasive species
Arizona is home to ~550 bird species, including 230 migratory species that depend on healthy habitats here
Northern Arizona sits at a critical crossroads for migratory birds. Without local action, these losses will continue.

Why Your Gift Matters
Your donation directly supports:
Habitat protection and restoration in Northern Arizona
Community education and nature connection
Science-based conservation and monitoring
Advocacy for birds and the places they depend on
Every donation counts: $10 funds Motus bird tracking for a month, $50 supports a birding field trip, $500 helps maintain a sanctuary for a year, or funds a Motus student grant—supporting local students as they track migratory birds and contribute to real-world conservation science.
Together, we can ensure birds continue to migrate, nest, and thrive here for generations to come.
Give today and stand with Northern Arizona Audubon—because when birds thrive, people do too.
