Founded in 2010, Hope's Crossing, is designed to meet the needs of women in transition from prisons, addictions, and/or homelessness to a life of work, family, and community.
Hope's Crossing provides a range of programs and initiatives, including grief counseling and a 21-week life skills development program. Through our programs, we seek to prevent substance abuse, chronic unemployment, and recidivism, ensuring no woman is left behind.
Cynthia is in her sixties with adult children and teenage grandchildren. Cynthia has a history of childhood trauma, abuse, addiction, and homelessness.
Cynthia enrolled in the Hope's Crossing the Fundamentals of Freedom program in 2019 to support her addiction recovery, rebuild her self-esteem, and reconnect with her family-all of which she felt was impossible.
After graduating from the Fundamentals of Freedom program in 2020, Cynthia earned her Associate of Arts degree from Phoenix College and found employment.
