Paws for Youth (formerly Gabriel's Angels)

Nurturing youth and their well-being by connecting them with the healing power of pets and compassionate adults.  

For 26 years, Paws for Youth (formerly Gabriel’s Angels) has provided the unconditional love of registered therapy pets to youth who have experienced trauma. Our pet therapy work goes beyond comfort – it’s transformative, intentional, and driven by data to provide maximum impact for our youth. Every visit, program and partnership is designed to create meaningful connections. By pairing kids and teens who have experienced trauma with trained therapy pets and dedicated volunteers, we help them navigate challenges, feel valued and grow to their full potential.

Thanks to you, our programs are always provided completely free of charge to support our young people who need it most. 

What can your donation do?

- $125 can provide 1 youth with a full pet therapy program course

- $250 can provide 2 youths with a full pet therapy program course

- $506 can provide 8 youths with a full pet therapy program course (AND qualifies for the full amount of the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit for individual filers)

- $1006 can provide 2 youths with a full pet therapy program course  (AND qualifies for the full amount of the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit for joint returns)

Looking to fetch your AZ Tax Credit?

If you’re an animal lover, choose where your tax dollars go by selecting us for your Arizona Charitable Tax Credit when you file. We’re one of the only animal-related nonprofits designated by the state as a Qualified Charitable Organization (QCO Code 20449). There's no need to itemize, just make your donation and file Arizona Form 321 (claim up to $506 on individual returns and $1006 on joint returns).
