Friends of Pinal Pets, Inc.

We assist Pinal County Animal Care & Control (PCACC) and their supporting rescue organizations by funding life-saving veterinary care, training, and supplies necessary to enhance quality of life and adoptability.

Friends of Pinal Animal Shelter & Rescues was formed by a small group of volunteers who wanted to help PCACC do more for the animals it takes in. We are proud of the shelter's 97.4% release rate, but recognize achieving this requires additional funding not currently in the County budget. We help fill the gaps in funding so that dogs and cats at the shelter can receive life-saving veterinary care and items needed to make the animals more comfortable during their stay.

Testimonials

We've supported PCACC in a multitude of ways over the past three years including:
- Fully or partially funded numerous surgeries for animals brought into the shelter with life-threatening, or adoption-limiting, injuires
- Purchasing supplies and equipment for the shelter's clinic room (the shelter does not yet have a full clinic nor a vet on staff)
- Covering bills for lab work for the dogs and cats for the three years
- Funded additional play yards to allow dogs to get out of their kennel part of the day
- Funded training for shelter staff
- Funded purchase of Kuranda platform dog beds
- Funded most of the cost for a new commercial washer/extractor so that volunteers could keep up with laundry demands
