Don Bluth Front Row Theatre

Our mission is grounded in Don's belief that theatre arts are an integral part of a well-rounded community. The theatre produces the highest quality plays that inspire positivity to have a lasting impact on families and our community. We bring together adult and youth theatre artists to provide them an opportunity to grow in their craft. We empower audiences with hope, reassure them that life is good, and help them look for the good in the world -- and to then, play that message forward.

The Don Bluth Front Row Theatre was founded in 2004 to share with the Valley Don's vision of providing a family friendly intimate community theater. Each year we produce a season of plays and musicals largely from the repertoire of American Classic and nostalgic plays, movie/film adaptations and musicals that thematically speak to our vision of positivity, optimism and seeing the good in the world. We stage six productions cast with the best community non-union actors in the Valley! The theatre is an intentionally intimate space with 76 seats in-the-round, which allows for all audience members to feel as though they are in the "front row" and part of the world of the play. This proximity is unique to our theatre and is at the very heart of our philosophy to offer and maintain a very personal, inviting and intimate relationship with our audience members - thus the name "Front Row Theatre".

We are Scottsdale's premier boutique nonprofit theatre. Each show offers about 24 performances over the span of the run of six weeks with performances held Thursdays through Saturdays. The theatre has cultivated a loyal and appreciative following of approximately 1,500 audience members each production, for an annual total of about 10,000 tickets. Don Bluth personally guides the theatre as the creative artistic producer of each show and he sets the welcoming spirit of our venue. We employ a small staff of talented production directors and designers and our board members are actively engaged in daily theatre operations.
