Community Cats, Inc.

Our vision is for each street cat in our community to be fed, sheltered, housed and loved. 100% of your donation goes to this mission to help us bridge this critical gap in our community and sustain a solution for the needs of these cats from the streets and restore them to their rightful place among us as important parts of our lives.

Catty Shack (Community Cats, Inc. ) accepts stray cats and kittens that have been abandoned and are on our streets. When animals first come to us, they are taken into foster homes, run by a number of volunteer families. At any given time, we may have as many as 100 cats in our foster homes. This allows us to evaluate the health of each cat or kitten before he or she is put up for adoption in our Catty Shack facility. In addition to a physical exam, each cat receives any necessary vaccines. All cats are spayed or neutered before they are made available for adoption. Should an animal test positive for FIV (feline HIV), or FELV (feline leukemia), he or she will be sent to a special sanctuary where they can receive treatment and live out the rest of their life. Catty Shack is a no kill shelter.
Once our cats and kittens are deemed healthy and have been spayed or neutered, they move to the Catty Shack where they become available for adoption.
No one working in the Catty Shack organization is compensated for his or her time. 100% of donations made to the Catty Shack (Community Cats, Inc.) support the care of the animals and the maintenance of the facility.
