Promote a positive image of Islam Help needy women from all ethnic and religious backgrounds attain self-sufficiency through the development of specific marketable skills Provide emergency financial assistance to women and families Provide scholarships to needy women attending school for self improvement Our mission is to build strong families by empowering women through skills training, job assistance, education, mentoring, as well as providing financial help in times of need.

AMWA is involved in the community to help the low to moderate income families get stable. AMWA has been involved in refugee training, outreach and adjustment programs. AMWA has been very involved in mask making projects. AMWA has donated hundreds of masks to hospital and frontline workers. These masks were made by refugees who were compensated for this job. Some of the most impactful program's include: Girl's Empowerment through Mentorship, Feeding Homeless, AMWA's Case Management, Scholarship Program, and Car Donations. Other programs which have been temporarily suspended due to COVID include: Cuisine for cause (promotion/ introduction of foods made by refugee woman in community through AMWA's Event), Eid MELA (purpose is to entertain and introduce new woman entrepreneurs in the community) and Sewing for Success( teaching sewing skills to woman).
