Tomorrow, someone will wake up without their sight—and without a clear path forward.
At the Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ACBVI), we meet people in that moment—and walk beside them as they rebuild their independence, confidence, and sense of self.
Since 1947, ACBVI has served adults who are blind or visually impaired (BVI), DeafBlind (DB), or living with Combined Vision and Hearing Loss (CVHL). Today, more than 300 individuals each year turn to ACBVI after losing vision due to accident, illness, or trauma—often at one of the most uncertain points in their lives.
Here, they don’t just receive services. They regain their footing.
Through a whole-person approach, ACBVI provides the tools and support people need to move forward—mobility training, assistive technology, employment readiness, and critical wraparound services like meals and transportation. In 2025 alone, more than 17,000 meals were served—ensuring no one has to choose between nourishment and rebuilding their life.
And something powerful happens when confidence begins to return.
A client who once felt isolated is kayaking on Lake Mary.
Another is skiing at Snowbowl.
Someone who thought their independence was gone is climbing rock walls in Prescott or recording music in Matthew’s Recording Studio.
This is what your support makes possible.
On Arizona Gives Day, your gift helps someone move from fear to freedom—from uncertainty to independence.
Give today and be part of someone’s next step forward.
