Our mission is to save animals and give them lives in a forever home where they will be loved and respected as "members of the family". Our mission statement: Saving One By One : Until There Are None provides a base for what we believe in and why we do what we do. We are volunteer-based and driven. We believe in spay and neuter and educating the community about caring for animals. We share networking and partner with other rescue groups within our communities to provide support.

AARF began in 2018 with the donation of ten acres of property. Through dedicated volunteers and supporters, a building plan was developed for an "out of the Shelters" rescue ranch. This included bunkhouse units, heated and air conditioned, with large yards for our doggie residents. We have a large barn used for many purposes which supports our efforts. A large exercise/training yard has been developed, there is a memorial garden, a Mom and Puppy Place with two adjoining units where we have housed 15 moms with litters, three litters have actually born at AARF, and several orphaned puppies. It has been a blessing and volunteers love working with them. Much more is in our plans but we currently have the capacity to house 12-20 dogs and puppies with a goal of 25-30. We do home checks and after-checks for all our adoptions. Owner-surrenders for rehoming are becoming more common in the world of rescue.

We are volunteer-based and driven with over fifteen years of rescue experience among us. We believe our rescue has a distinct and special "feel" because of the property itself, the views and the people. You are at peace when out there and that is especially important lately. We welcome tours by appointment. To-date, we have taken in close to 500 dogs and adopted out an equal number. We are also a sanctuary for those that just take more time to find their home. We all feel blessed to be a part of this rescue effort and have many good stories coming back to us which make our hearts happy.
