Reliable transportation is one of the most overlooked barriers to employment in Arizona. For many working adults and families, a single vehicle breakdown can mean missed shifts, lost wages, job loss, and mounting financial stress. Public transportation is limited in many areas, and rideshare options are often too expensive for long-term use. When a car fails, stability can unravel quickly.

Worthy of Wheels exists to remove that barrier.

Through our Reliable Transportation Assistance Program, we fund essential vehicle repairs and safety improvements for individuals experiencing financial hardship. We work directly with trusted local repair shops to ensure repairs are necessary, safe, and cost-effective. Many partner shops donate labor or provide discounted parts, allowing every dollar donated to stretch further and help more people.

In situations where repair is not feasible, we may provide a donated replacement vehicle to restore mobility and prevent job loss.

Our focus is simple: keep people working.

Most individuals we serve rely on their vehicle to:

Approximately $1,000 restores reliable transportation for one individual or family. A relatively small investment can prevent far greater financial hardship and help someone remain employed and self-sufficient.

Worthy of Wheels is a volunteer-driven nonprofit with minimal administrative overhead. The majority of funding goes directly toward vehicle repair assistance. We also utilize experienced automotive professionals to review repair estimates before approval to ensure funds are used responsibly.
