YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Valley of the Sun YMCA does not turn anybody away for an inability to pay for YMCA programs such as childcare, early learning, youth sports, camps, and civic engagement and leadership. Your support will ensure all families have access to high quality programs that fit within their financial budget.

HEALTHY LIVING

At Valley of the Sun YMCA, scholarships are available to provide affordable access to health and fitness programs and a place of belonging. Membership and programs work to reduce depression and fear through outreach and safe social gatherings to combat social isolation and improve mental and physical health. Your support will enable programs and services focused on mental and physical health to be available for everyone seeking a healthier lifestyle.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Valley of the Sun YMCA provides free water safety education. In Maricopa County, 18 children tragically lost their lives to drowning in 2024, all of which were preventable. With your support, our water safety initiative can reduce drowning related incidents through awareness, education, and action.

The YMCA Outreach Program for Aging Seniors (Y OPAS) provides adults over age 65 with services to maintain their independence including transportation, friendly visiting, and social gatherings. Your support helps keep seniors who are unable to drive connected to their community.

Valley of the Sun YMCA offers educational support, job training, and services such as food and rental assistance for youth 18-24 years old who are not in school or currently employed. Your support can provide these essential resources for a young adult in need.
