StandUp for Kids-Tucson

StandUp for Kids is dedicated to ending the cycle of youth homelessness. For the past 20 years, our volunteer teams have provided ongoing street outreach and advocacy for unaccompanied or at-risk youth. In January 2023, we expanded our services by opening a drop-in center, allowing us to reach even more young people. Those under 24 can walk in, meet with a volunteer mentor to create a personalized plan, access essential items, and express themselves through art and music—or simply take a moment to rest. StandUp for Kids believes that having just one trusted adult in a young person's life can make a transformative impact.

StandUp for Kids Tucson is dedicated to fostering trusting relationships with youth and collaborating with other service providers.  Our goal is to ensure all young people receive the support and comprehensive services they need to discover their purpose and grow into happy, healthy, and contributing adults.  

In 2024, StandUp for Kids Tucson connected with 383 new young people and distributed 645 food packs. We offered 844 points of service, with our dedicated volunteers contributing a total of 3,279 hours of support.
