Every day in the United States, thousands of families face the unimaginable.

According to national data from the FBI’s NCIC system, over 500,000 people are reported missing each year. Children account for a significant portion of these cases, with hundreds of thousands of entries involving missing youth annually. At any give time we have over 500 missing children in Arizona. While many are found, far too many cases lack the urgency, visibility, and resources needed in those critical first hours and days.

That’s where we step in.

Missing In America Network (MIA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that no missing person is overlooked and no family is left to navigate this crisis alone. We exist to stand in the gap between families, law enforcement, and the community when time matters most.

What We Do

When someone goes missing, families are often overwhelmed, scared, and unsure where to turn. We provide immediate, hands-on support at no cost, including:

• Rapid awareness campaigns across social media reaching thousands within hours
• Professionally designed missing person flyers distributed locally and nationwide
• Billboard placements and digital alerts to amplify visibility in critical areas
• Anonymous tip line (844-MIA-LOST) to safely gather and route information
• Direct support to families, helping them navigate next steps and advocate for their loved one
• Collaboration with law enforcement and community partners to keep cases active and visible

We also work to educate the public, advocate for policy improvements, and ensure that every missing person—regardless of age, background, or circumstances—receives equal attention and urgency.
