$5,000 Goal

Men of Arizona Nursing (MAN) is the Phoenix chapter of the American Association for Men in Nursing (AAMN) and the first AAMN chapter established in Arizona. MAN brings together male nurses, nursing students, faculty, healthcare professionals, and allies who believe that a strong nursing workforce benefits from diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds.

Our mission is to create a supportive community where men in nursing can connect, learn, lead, and grow while contributing to a more inclusive and collaborative nursing profession. Although our organization centers the experiences and representation of men in nursing, membership and participation are open to everyone who supports our mission.

MAN focuses on four core areas: professional development, mentorship, community engagement, and advocacy.

Building the Future of Nursing

Men remain underrepresented in the nursing profession. MAN works to create greater awareness of nursing as a meaningful and rewarding career for men while challenging outdated perceptions about who can be a nurse. We believe students should be able to see themselves represented in the profession and have access to mentors who understand their experiences.

Through networking opportunities, educational programs, guest speakers, mentorship, and professional development activities, MAN connects nursing students with nurses and healthcare professionals who can help them navigate school, transition into practice, and build successful careers.

Supporting Nursing Students

Nursing school can be challenging, and having a community of support can make a meaningful difference. MAN provides opportunities for nursing students to develop leadership skills, build professional networks, learn from experienced nurses, and connect with peers who share an interest in advancing the nursing profession.

We strive to create opportunities that extend beyond the classroom—including professional conferences, educational events, community service, leadership experiences, and connections with healthcare organizations.

Improving Men's Health and Community Health

MAN recognizes that men's health is an important part of nursing and community health. Our organization works to promote conversations about men's health, preventive care, mental and physical well-being, healthcare access, and the role nurses play in improving health outcomes.

Through partnerships with healthcare organizations, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and community groups, MAN participates in health education, community service, fundraising, and outreach initiatives throughout Arizona.

Creating an Inclusive Nursing Community

While our name highlights men in nursing, our vision is inclusive. MAN welcomes people of all genders who support greater diversity and representation in nursing. We believe that increasing representation of men in nursing and creating supportive environments for underrepresented groups strengthens the profession as a whole.

Our goal is not simply to recruit more men into nursing. It is to help build a nursing profession where people from diverse backgrounds feel welcomed, supported, respected, and empowered to succeed.

Your Support Makes a Difference

As a growing organization, donations help MAN turn ideas into meaningful opportunities for nursing students, nurses, and the communities we serve. Contributions can support student professional development, educational programming, community outreach, mentorship opportunities, scholarships and resources, leadership development, and partnerships that promote men's health and nursing education.

Every contribution helps us expand our reach and create opportunities that may not otherwise be available to nursing students and emerging nurses.

Together, we can support the next generation of nurses, strengthen our communities, and help shape a more diverse and inclusive future for nursing in Arizona.

Men of Arizona Nursing — building connections, developing leaders, supporting nurses, and strengthening the future of nursing.
