Meixner Memorial Foundation

Vision

Support the University of Arizona’s Department of Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences to develop and sustain a world-class, one year, applied Master of Science Degree in Hydrogeology. The program will train and empower future leaders to address critical water resource management issues within the Southwest United States and globally.

Mission

Honor the legacy of Dr. Thomas Meixner by supporting the development of an applied one-year Master of Science Degree in Hydrogeology at the University of Arizona. The MMF will fundraise to establish an endowment for the program coordinator, and to provide support for students. The MMF will also promote the program by collaborating with faculty and engaging the wider hydrogeologic community.

Board of Directors

The Meixner Memorial Foundation is a volunteer run 501(c)(3) organization committed to honoring the memory and legacy of Dr. Thomas Meixner who was murdered in his University of Arizona office on October 5, 2022.
