Law Matters

At Law Matters our mission is to carry out non-partisan research, education, and informational activities by opening the lines of communication through public media, and classroom settings between law enforcement, lawmakers, as well as military personnel, whose goal of increasing awareness serves to establish safer more informed communities.

In the late summer of 2016, while I was flying back from the east coast, police in Texas were being ambushed and murdered because they wore a uniform. My friends and I felt something needed to be done, so we created the Law Matters Live Radio Show. The intent is to open the lines of communication between law enforcement and the communities they serve across the country. We launched this mission by the seat of our pants, no radio experience, and no startup funds, just an optimistic idea with the best of intentions. We want our listeners to get answers from the source, rather than a misleading sound bite sensationalized in some newscast. Our show has only one break that we give to law enforcement to air PSAs, so you won't hear about carpet cleaning or mortgage loans - it is strictly information to help create safer communities. A few years later, just about the time we became a 501c3 nonprofit, COVID hit making fundraising a challenge.
