Championing Families Touched by Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities!

Welcome to Lexie's Voice, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing vital advocacy, programming and resources for families raising individuals with Autism and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We understand the unique journey families face and we are here to strengthen the entire family unit through our programs and support.

When Andrea Robertson's daughter Lexie was diagnosed with autism, Andrea faced firsthand the challenges of navigating a system that made it incredibly difficult for them to access the support they needed.

Refusing to accept the status quo, Andrea became a powerful advocate, not just for Lexie, but for families across Arizona. Her efforts led to the creation of Lexie's Law, a tax credit scholarship program that gives disabled and displaced students the opportunity to attend schools that offer the individualized support they deserve. Since its passage in 2009, the law has helped hundreds of children thrive in environments built for their unique needs.

Lexie's Voice has now expanded its mission beyond advocacy to direct service provision. What began as one mother's fight for her daughter has grown into a comprehensive organization supporting hundreds of families each year.

Here are the 2 Programs we offer the Special Needs Community:

Lexie's Voice Tutoring and Life Skills Program:  This Program funded through ESA operates year-round Monday-Friday 9am - 4pm. We specialize in mostly non-verbal, high support needs older teens and young adults. It is a program developed individually for each participant with a focus on continued education, independent living, social skills, vocational skills, and recreation. This program is located at Lexie's Ranch.

Charlie's Treehouse:  Adult Day Program (DDD-DTA)

Our Day Program for adults (18+) with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment where participants can learn new skills, engage in meaningful activities, enjoy community excursions and build relationships with their peers. This Day Program is located near Scottsdale Rd and Shea Blvd.

We are also excited to announce Lexie's Ranch!

For many individuals with autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities, traditional indoor programs can feel overwhelming or limiting. Nature offers something different.

At Lexie’s Ranch, guests will soon experience:

  • The calming rhythm of outdoor routines

  • Meaningful responsibility through animal care and daily tasks

  • Opportunities for social connection without pressure

  • A sense of belonging and contribution

Research and lived experience show that time spent with animals and in natural environments can reduce anxiety, increase emotional regulation, and support social and communication skills.  Contact us for a tour!
