Heber-Overgaard Community Food Bank

Heber Overgaard is located in north east Arizona along the Mogollon Rim.  It’s a small unincorporated community with a population of around 3,000 full time citizens.  Summertime brings many lower desert dwellers, escaping the heat and enjoying the many recreational activities available.  Our summer temperatures range from 80-90 degrees during the day, with low temperatures in the 60’s.  We enjoy mild winters, with an occasional snow.  

Heber Overgaard is fortunate to have many citizens that want to make “our little paradise” the best it can be. We are 100% volunteer supported; we have wonderful volunteers who support the Food Bank year around. They provide unpacking, distributing, checking in and even delivering to home bound recipients.

The Heber Overgaard Community Food Bank began operations in June 2020.  We are a partnering agency of United Food Bank.  United Food Bank delivers 2 times/month. We serve over 300 people every month and it keeps increasing.  

We moved inside at a new facility.  It is so exciting to offer our customers a better experience, reduce waste and provide more hours.

However, with the new location comes new needs, there has been a 20% increase in the number of people we serve because we are available more hours. We also have rent and utilities.
