Everyone dreams of having a safe and affordable home of their own. Since its founding, Habitat for Humanity's vision is a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. We are unique in the affordable housing sector because we provide home ownership opportunities to low-income families. With home construction costs funded by community donations from people like you, Habitat builds homes, income qualifies families, and provides 0% interest financing.

Since becoming a Habitat affiliate 22 years ago, we have built one single-family home each year, creating housing security, stability, and positive life changes for many local families. In response to ever increasing demand and local housing concerns, we are pivoting to help multiple households each year through the revolutionary Starter Home Project! Designed and engineered in Flagstaff by a cohort of community partners, the Starter Home Project approaches affordable housing in an entirely new way.

Working in partnership with Coconino Community College, we plan to build three homes each year. Starter Homes are simple, efficient, stand-alone homes that build equity for low-income homeowners, offer hands-on educational opportunities through practical building, and create a housing inventory that will serve multiple families in the future.

Donations will support this exciting project, helping to ease the affordable housing crisis in our community.
