Friends of Sabino Canyon Inc

The Friends of Sabino Canyon (FOSC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1993 as a response to flooding, damage and devastation in the canyon. Today, we are dedicated to providing the necessary financial resources to projects that "conserve, protect and enhance" the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area, an invaluable community asset.

As we align our fundraising efforts with the priorities established by the US Forestry Service, we we are also building a strong reserve to be prepared for unforeseen catastrophic events. To do this we must broaden our base  of support beyond membership by building annual fund, major gift and capital campaign programs.

The guiding principal for the Canyon's future has been to maintain its affordable access to an American wild land adjacent to an urban area. The Sabino Canyon Recreation Area is among the best examples of the Arizona Uplands, the northeastern most subdivision of the Sonoran Desert Region.
