Community 43 is a licensed behavioral health outpatient clinic and the only accredited Clubhouse in Arizona located in central Phoenix. We serve adults living with serious mental health conditions, including major depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia. Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive environment where members can build meaningful relationships, develop life skills, and work toward recovery and independence.
Community 43 operates on a strength-based approach, recognizing that every individual has unique talents and contributions. Through a comprehensive system of care that integrates medical, psychiatric, and social supports, we empower members to achieve personal goals and improve their quality of life. Daily activities include vocational training, educational support, wellness programs, and opportunities for employment through structured units such as culinary, horticulture, and technology.
The Clubhouse Model is an internationally recognized, evidence-based approach to psychosocial rehabilitation. Originating from Fountain House in New York, this model is built on the principles of community, choice, and meaningful work. Membership is voluntary and without time limits, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose for individuals living with serious mental illness.
At the heart of the model is the work-ordered day, where members and staff collaborate side-by-side to run the daily operations of the Clubhouse. This structure provides opportunities for skill development, social connection, and confidence-building. Clubhouses worldwide offer pathways to employment through Transitional, Supported, and Independent Employment programs, as well as access to education, housing support, and wellness resources.
