ASA Now

ASA Now provides advocacy, support, and assistance to families impacted by foster care across the state of Arizona. Our mission is to empower children and families impacted by foster care by providing basic necessities, education, community events, and advocacy.

In 2024, ASA Now served 11,234 children impcted by the foster care system. Through our Immediate Needs program, we supported 3,708 unduplicated foster youth, providing them with nutritious food, hygiene kits, comfort items, school supplies, clothing, Christmas gifts, and birthday boxes. Our monthly socials and educational workshops positively impacted over 5,000 children, fostering community, resilience, and empowerment. In addition, we hosted an adventure camp for  foster youth and their caregivers and holiday events. 

We provided support for 2,202 caregivers in 2024. Our monthly support meetings provide a space for foster parents to connect, share resources, and develop trauma-informed skills. Our caregiver retreats offer a chance for respite and rejuvenation, equipping caregivers with tools to better support their families. 

In response to the crisis of missing and trafficked youth in DCS care, ASA Now launched the Missing Children's Task Force in 2024, a multi-disciplinary coalition that works to identify, recover, and support missing youth in Arizona. Since March 2024, the task force has helped recover and support over 140 youth.
