Southern Arizona Blues Heritage Foundation

The Southern Arizona Blues Heritage Foundation's mission is to create an active and vital Blues and Heritage community through education, promotion of live performances, support of musicians in need and raising awareness of blues music and culture.

The Blues in the Schools program introduces students to Blues music, heritage and culture. Annual festivals include a youth blues band. The Youth Blues Showcase held annually includes master classes for the students with local musicians leading the class.

Local and touring Blues musicians are supported by the Foundation in finding venues for the musicians to play in and providing information on services when a musician is in need.

The Southern Arizona Musicians Assistance Fund is a core program of the Southern Arizona Blues Heritage Foundation. Our goal is to maintain an ongoing source of funds through donations and fundraising to provide assistance to career musicians in need of emergency financial aid.

The annual Blues festival introduced fans to new touring musicians and the fine local musicians for a day of music and dancing.
