Maryvale Revitalization Corporation

Maryvale Revitalization Corporation (MRC) is the motivating catalyst for the facilitation of the Physical, Economic and Social Renaissance in Maryvale Village.

Maryvale Revitalization Corporation (MRC), a 501c3 nonprofit, was founded by community leaders in January 2005 with an original focus on the physical revitalization of the community. With a "stronger together" philosophy, MRC quickly became the voice of West-Phoenix through purposeful focus on grass-roots mobilization, collaboration and partnership as the most effective method for addressing the holistic needs of the Maryvale community.

Today, MRC is the motivating catalyst for the economic, social and physical renaissance in Maryvale, serving as the collaborative central agency that supports and amplifies the work of local non-profits, faith-based communities, government initiatives, schools and local businesses serving West Phoenix. This role is vital to effectively serve the holistic needs of the largest, most densely populated village in Phoenix which spans 38 square miles and is home to nearly 235,000 residents. Maryvale is also the youngest community in Arizona, with 41% of population under 19 years old making this community vital to the future of Arizona.

MRC facilitates youth and adult leadership and workforce development programs, youth and adult education programs, community arts programs and art programs that include visual, digital, music and culinary disciplines that support school-based STEAM education; physical community revitalization; economic development initiatives; health and wellness programs; and community awareness campaigns. MRC's programs are grounded in the belief that a sustainable community renaissance must include everyone and all aspects of life. To this goal, all MRC programs are accomplished through citizen involvement, collaboration and partnership to best leverage resources, avoid duplication and create an environment where all stakeholders grow stronger together.

Maryvale is a community not unlike any other - full of caring families, friendly neighborhoods, necessary conveniences, as well as quality recreation and entertainment. The foundations of a truly wonderful community are strong today, while the opportunity exists for the village to flourish and grow.
