Animal rescue is filled with days of utter joy and days of overwhelming heartbreak. Like many shelters, we have faced extraordinary challenges in recent years. Unprecedented increases in shelter population, declining adoption rates, diminishing resources and an uncertain economy have created the perfect storm. Despite this, our "where there is a will, there is a way" attitude has helped to provide many animals with a better future. Unfortunately, there are many more that need our help. Funds raised during AZ Gives Day help the animals in our care be the best they can be and allow them the opportunity to leave paw prints on someone's heart.
