Cochise Canine's senior and "Special needs" animals need medical help more than ever. In 2023 CCR spent in excess of $45,000 on medical care for the needy dogs and cats in residence. Medical care has increased in cost by approximately 25% in the past year. Much of the food we had been receiving as donations over the past years is now having to be purchased as a result of the shortages in food donations via Rescue Bank subsidiaries ever since the Covid pandemic. Additionally, the price of food for the animals has almost doubled over the past few years! At a time that donated funds are down, costs needs are up!
