Hope 4 Kids International

For over 50 years, we have been committed to serving children living in impoverished environments around the world by establishing economic, spiritual, water, orphan, and feeding programs. Our vision is healing and empowering destitute communities with hope and necessary care to raise a new generation of healthy individuals who can break the generational curse of extreme poverty. We exemplify the spirit of Jesus to show that all children are worthy of a prosperous life and bright future.

Through Hope 4 Kids International's life-saving programs, children living in impoverished communities have been empowered to change the trajectory of their lives. Children are healthier drinking safe, clean water; sponsored children have access to education and receive basic health care; our feeding program feeds over 2,000 children around the world. These kids, once fearful of what awaited them the next day, now look forward to a future filled with hope.

I sit here in my hotel room in Delhi, India, looking through my pictures from my trips in Bangladesh and India. At 3:15 am we get to fly home. I am ready to go home. This has been an incredible trip for me. I have had the pleasure of traveling with 4 very special women, Angie, Kylie, Tonja, and my daughter Brooke. During these last 16 days, I have learned so much from each of these wonderful ladies.

When I get home, I will be asked, "what did you do on your trip?" Well, what I believe we did was to help restore hope. After a number of trips I have made with Hope 4 Kids, I realize that without hope, we have nothing.

We celebrated the drilling of several wells, one for a well my three children, Melody, Dusty and Brooke helped pay for. We provided water purification systems for many families. We met with many children. We prayed with them, we played with them, we hugged them and helped them understand how special they are in God's eyes. We worked with our incredible partners in Bangladesh and India. They are doing wonderful work in their many ministries. We assessed the educational and medical needs of the many children we were with and determined what we need to do next.

Successful trip? Yep. Tom Eggum, head of Hope 4 Kids, International was not able to physically make this trip with us. However, his spirit has been with us during the whole trip. In seven words, Tom has told me over and over: Love God, Love People, Make a Difference.
