Girls Rule Foundation

A nonprofit organization

Our mission is to offer online and offline programs that focus on empowering girls in 3 key areas: self-esteem skills, leadership skills and financial/career skills. We believe that educating and empowering girls with these skill sets are crucial for them to become our next generation of leaders and world-changers.

Girls Rule Foundation was established in 2013 as a 501c3 and we have become a leader in empowerment and leadership programs. Our curriculum and programs have been not impacted thousands of girls and women, but also schools and organizations that serve girls.

Our goal for 2020-2021 is to impact 12,000 girls through our 4 programs:

1. The Brilliant Beautiful & Bold Awards & Year-long Mentoring Program
2. dreamLAB Afterschool Club - A national 12modual, leadership, digital club/program
3. Wings to Fly Leadership Summer Camp
4. Shine Brightly 1/2 Day Mother-Daughter Summit
PLUS, growing our online #girlschangetheworld movement and YouTube channel to serve more girls globally with curriculum, tips and resources

OUR WHY:

As a 501c3 we are working to increase SEL and leadership education in communities, families and schools. We all know that self-esteem cannot be medicated, and we also know that when girls are equipped with social, emotional, and leadership skill sets that they better navigate their teen years to become successful adults and leaders.  At Girls Rule Foundation we are on a mission to educate and empower girls ages 12-18 with self-esteem skills, financial literacy skills and leadership skills. It is not enough to HOPE that girls learn these skills. It's not enough to HOPE girls will turn out as strong leaders. It's not enough to HOPE girl statistics will magically lower. If we want strong girls who are ready to lead communities, healthy families, large businesses, small companies, and world problems in the future we must equip them so they have these crucial tools on their tool belt. We found that the root cause of our staggering girl statistics is a lack of resiliency and leadership training in the teen years. To become resilient we must teach SEL skills. Girls need this training more than ever because they are coping with pressures and situations never seen before in history! Currently, females learn these skills usually around the age of 32, instead of 12, and that is 20 Years. Too. Late. We believe that these skill sets are crucial for girls to become the next generation of leaders and world-changers.
